Prof. Anoka Ayembe Njan

Anoka Ayembe NJAN, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences. University of Ilorin with 17 years university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He has served as Head of Department, Postgraduate co-odinator and Deputy Director, UNILORIN Consultancy Services. He is the current Project Lead, National Toxicology Information Centre. Abuja and the Country Representative at the WHO Africa Network for Poison Control Centre (ANPCC). His areas of research interest cover Toxicology, Drug Development, Pharmacodynamics and Health Risk Assessment.

He has to his credit over fifty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised over 12 Masters dissertations and four Ph.D. theses. He has equally won several research grants. Professor Njan is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
